Travelodge Barnstaple

Cheap, great location for North Devon surfing beaches, clean and quiet. Exceptional value for money at the weekend. Relatively basic but clean and comfortable.

It was a great stay and friendly staff especially one of the staff members called Rhys who helped me, the room was clean and very much spot on.

Very impressed by this travel lodge by far the best we’ve ever stayed in. We opted for early check in as we travelled with our dog and the room was so clean, the corridors smelt so clean and you would have no idea we were in a dog friendly room. It was pretty warm, so I asked if we could get a fan this request was met with no issues so thank you so much. Emma was on the reception along with a gentleman in the evening but I didn’t catch his name they were both absolutely brilliant so shout out to them

Travelodhe are fairly consistent, this hotel had a sizeable clean room, very basic but perfect for our overnight stay. You wont find a hairdryer, moisturiser, free conditioner, complimentary biscuit or even a view but you will find a quiet, clean room, comfortable bed, decent shower just exactly what you need at a price that matches. Travelodge is not luxury, does not pretend to be but does represent excellent value for money. Staff were also friendly, and professional which gave the hotel a more upmarket impression, not reflected in the very budget friendly price.

I have been staying at the Roundswell Travelodge at Barnstaple every time I go to Cornwall, at least once a year for more years than I care to remember. The staff are efficient, polite and very professional; the manager has become a real friend, too. Nothing is too much trouble, even down to recommending a vet when one of my dogs was ill. I would never stay anywhere else when in the Barnstaple area and I have recommended it to friends and neighbours.

Very good service guy on duty 10/10/25 couldn't do enough to help me, as when I booked room for Saturday, typical travel lodge got cheapest room but different date. Guy helped me change and ring up and on phone which btw loves play up when needed it typical. Happy to stay again.

We had a last minute booking and I couldn't fault the staff. I believe the manager's name was Emma (apologies if wrong), and she was amazing, and showed kindness above her role. Rooms were clean and it was very quiet to rest in.

This hotel was clean & reasonably priced & suited our 2 night visit to see friends who live 10 mins drive away. The beds weren't as comfortable as we'd liked especially my son's single bed. We had to try the key cards a few times before they'd work & the shower water pressure wasn't great but it was manageable for a couple of nights. The hotel was quiet which was good. The staff were pleasant & very helpful.
